The National Children’s Museum sparks curiosity and creativity in the littlest of learners! This playful indoor family destination boasts a wide variety of touch-and-play activities, exhibits, and experiences centered around science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
While their permanent exhibits are always kid favorites, their visiting exhibit gets them excited, too:
Shaun the Sheep: Flock This Way!
Based on popular film and television characters, Shaun the Sheep: Flock This Way! is the museum’s latest interactive exhibit. In their woolliest adventure ever, the museum’s Visiting Exhibit Hall transforms into the baa-baa-brilliant Mossy Bottom Farm! From January 20 to May 12, 2024, this special area will be filled with hands-on play, discovery, and fun!
Welcoming all, but perfect for little lambs ages 3-9, Shaun the Sheep: Flock This Way! is more than just a romp in the pasture, it’s a chance for young ones to build their fine/gross motor skills, as well as problem-solving skills. Exhibit highlights include:
-
-
- Practicing balance in the barn by traversing a wall and stabilizing on tires.
- Mixing up Shaun’s pal Bitzer’s face to create new facial expressions.
- Creating a stop-motion animation using items from the scrap heap.
- Engaging in imaginative play by hopping into a truck and pretending to drive to the village or rescuing one of the flock who’s stuck at the top of a tree.
-
Shaun the Sheep: Flock This Way! is included in the cost of admission.
