Get ready for a celebration packed with hands-on fun at the Earth Day Fairfax Festival — one of Fairfax County’s largest Earth Day events!

Hosted at Lake Fairfax Park on April 25, 2026, families are invited to explore ways to make a positive impact on the planet through engaging, interactive activities, games, and outdoor experiences designed for all ages.

One of the event’s most popular features is their Touch-a-Truck! Kids and parents alike are invited to get an up-close look at the vehicles and machines that help keep the community running.

From animal encounters and outdoor discovery activities to interactive nature exhibits, there’s no shortage of ways to explore and learn. Kids and parents alike can meet animals from Frying Pan Farm Park, take on the giant rock-climbing wall, and enjoy games like a golf-putting game and a flag-throwing game.

Throughout the day, enjoy live music, demonstrations, and entertainment on two stages, along with food trucks and a craft beer garden. For those who may need a quieter moment, the sensory tent offers a calm, welcoming space with toys, fidgets, and crafts. There’s even the chance to get creative with hands-on projects like paper quilling, wildflower seed ball-making, and sustainable play-dough — making it a full day of fun, learning, and connection.

Admission to the event is free; parking is $10 per car at the gate.
