A community-loved holiday tradition lights up the Potomac River during the Alexandria Holiday Boat Parade of Lights! Held on December 4, 2021, enjoy watching festive and brightly lit boats as they cruise the Potomac River shoreline.

While the boats sail by, enjoy a hot chocolate bar, pop-up beer garden, and more holiday activities for the kids! This mile-long parade stretches down the Potomac River and can last up to an hour based on a variety of factors such as participation, river conditions, and cruising speeds.
