Mount Vernon welcomes homeschooling families to discover the 18th century by learning about George Washington, the British Empire, and the outbreak of the American Revolution in the spring of 1775, at Homeschool Day, March 2, 2026!

Visit Mount Vernon educators to learn about the outbreak of the Revolutionary War at Lexington & Concord on April 19, 1775, and why the Second Continental Congress chose Washington to take command.

Plus, make your own paper lantern and pick up activities you can do at home (while supplies last), meet special guests, enjoy live performances, and more.
