Historic Constitution Avenue and the Monuments in Washington, DC, are the setting for America’s biggest and best Independence Day Parade. Nowhere will you find greater excitement on America’s birthday than in our nation’s capital!

The celebration lasts from morning to night, kicking off with the National Independence Day Parade.

Throughout the day, enjoy the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, Sylvan Theater Family Activity Area (on the southeast grounds of the monument), and A Capitol Fourth Concert. The festivities conclude with spectacular fireworks on the National Mall!
