For more than three decades, the Loudoun Fall Farm Tour has offered an insider’s look into some of the county’s most unique agricultural destinations — and the original tour that started it all back in 1993 is back for another fantastic weekend on October 17-18, 2026!
Spanning 34 farms across Western Loudoun, this popular harvest-season event lets visitors explore the best the region has to offer. From charming meet-and-greets with llamas, alpacas, and donkeys to scooping up homemade ice cream at a local dairy farm, there’s something to delight every family member. Plus, farms showcase Loudoun’s finest — honey, mushrooms, traditional vegetables, garlic, craft beverages, and more.
Participating farms welcome guests with parking, tours of their operations, and a free, public educational component, while Loudoun Made, Loudoun Grown products, CSAs, and memberships are typically available for purchase. Check in with the QR code at any stop, and you’ll be entered for a chance to win one of two Western Loudoun VIP Giveaway Packages, too!
Planning the day is part of the fun. An interactive Farm Tour Map is coming soon, and both pocket-sized and tear-off maps will be available at local Loudoun libraries and community centers, Visit Loudoun, and the Government Center in Leesburg.
Before you head out, check the online map for the most up-to-date information — life changes daily on the farm, so some listed activities may not be available, and Hogback Mountain Pony Rides is sitting this year out. And because ticks can live in tall grasses and low vegetation as well as the woods, long sleeves, bug spray, and staying on clear paths are always a smart call.
