At these fun and interactive activity stations, children learn through play :
• Pinwheel Breathing: Guests can get creative and develop the skill of self-regulation all in one fun activity. After creating their own unique pinwheel, they can practice a simple, tactile deep-breathing exercise that uses the pinwheel to help visually pace inhales and exhales.
• Shape Builders: Little mathematicians can work out their geometry muscles, taking on the challenge of combining smaller shapes to create larger ones. This activity exercises spatial reasoning and shape recognition through play!
• Back-to-School Storytime: While enjoying a special back-to-school-themed storybook, little readers break down the beginning, middle, and end of the story and strengthen comprehension. Through discussion and hands-on activities, learners will practice sequencing events and understanding how stories are structured.
• Microscopic Observation: Let’s explore the world around us! Little scientists can use microscopes to observe everyday objects, discovering patterns, shapes, and textures through investigation.
• Get Ready Relay: Little learners can strengthen their motor skills and confidence as they practice skills that help them get ready for school. Tie shoes, put on coats, fasten snaps, and more!
Back-to-School pop-up activities are included in general museum admission.
