Alexandria’s signature holiday event, First Night Alexandria, is returning to Old Town on December 31, 2022! Bundle up and head out for a day and evening full of family-friendly, curated entertainment, from noon until midnight!
From the youngest party animals to those with a treasure trove of NYE memories, there’s something for everyone! First Night Alexandria is committed to diversity in its line-up — giving exposure to new artists, rising stars, and seasoned professionals. Divided by age/time period, check the performances schedule online (check often, it grows daily):
Matinee: 12-5 pm
Your youngest revelers can explore music, culture, and fun, with live performances from Culture Queen, Groovy Nate, and a few surprises!
Primetime: 6-10 pm
Primetime is packed with tons of fun, spanning blocks of Old Town. From Jazz and Americana to comedy and magic, they’ll be plenty to take in and enjoy.
After Hours: 10 pm-Midnight
Join in for a Countdown to 2023 Street Party, and don’t miss the Fireworks Finale at Midnight over the Potomac River.
