Big Calendar of Fun › Fishing Derby
Start an annual family tradition at Herndon Parks & Rec’s Fishing Derby on March 21, 2026!
Hosted at a stream along Sugarland Run Trail in Runnymede Park, kids ages 2-15 and their families are invited to bring a pole (or borrow one — a limited number are available for use) and enjoy a morning of fishing!
Trout Unlimited will be on-site to help clean and store your catch, while volunteers will be on hand to teach you how to bait, cast, hook, and prepare your freshly caught dinner!
