Experience the nation’s oldest and largest parade celebrating George Washington’s birth!
The 2024 George Washington Birthday Parade marks Alexandria’s 275th Anniversary as it returns to its historic parade route east of Washington Street, which you can view here.
In the heart of Old Town Alexandria, watch as fraternal organizations, drum corps, color guards, bands, and city dignitaries, as well as parade namesake General Washington and Martha, march on February 19, 2024, to pay tribute to our nation’s first president with the theme George Washington: Alexandria’s Original Living Legend.
Plus, in keeping with this theme, the Grand Marshals of the parade will be the Living Legends of Alexandria, a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring and chronicling individuals who have made significant contributions to the quality of life in Alexandria, Virginia.
