Ready to swap out a hobby that didn’t stick and pick up one that might? Herndon Parks & Rec invites you to their annual Hobby Exchange on February 7, 2026!

At this community-driven, family-friendly event, swap gently used hobby supplies and head home with something new to enjoy — all for free! This is how it works:

Drop Off
Bring gently used, family-friendly hobby items between 1-2 pm on February 7, 2026. Each donor receives a ticket for early shopping access.

Shop First
Donors shop first, beginning at 2:15 pm. General shopping opens immediately after for all attendees, and continues until 3:30 pm.

Find a New Favorite
Browse a wide variety of free hobby items, including:

Baking tools
Puzzles
Board games
Jewelry-making supplies
Arts & crafts materials
Knitting and crocheting items
Sporting equipment
and more!

Donation Guidelines

Items must be in usable, good condition, and must include all pieces/parts.
Please tape puzzles and board games closed.
Family-friendly items only.
No collections (e.g., trading cards, figurine collections, etc.).
