A cool new spot has arrived in Fairfax County! The Fairfax County Park Authority has unveiled a brand-new, all-access splash pad at Martin Luther King Jr. Pool in Alexandria, VA — and it’s open for the 2026 summer season!
The inclusive splash pad, which replaces the former tot pool, was chosen by the community through a local vote — and it’s easy to see why families are excited. Featuring sprays and bucket dumps, it’s designed for all ages and abilities, right alongside the pool.
Best of all, admission is free for all Fairfax County residents with proof of residency. Out-of-county residents can purchase an annual pass online or at any Park Authority Rec Center. The surrounding Martin Luther King Jr. Park also offers a playground, softball field, tennis courts, picnic area, and more.
