Imagine delicate butterflies soaring through the air and resting on beautiful flowers while you, and your little ones, capture unique glimpses into their lives!

Such an experience awaits you at The Wings of Fancy Live Butterfly & Caterpillar Exhibit located within Brookside Gardens. This living exhibit brings you up close to these gentle creatures with opportunities to learn about their metamorphosis and the role they play in healthy ecosystems. As one of the only butterfly aviaries in the area, visitors can feast their eyes upon stunning butterflies from North America, Costa Rica, Africa, and Asia as they flutter about drinking nectar!

Located in Montgomery County Maryland, Brookside Gardens is a 50-acre display garden offering visitors a variety of areas to enjoy! From an Aquatic Garden to a Rose Garden, Rain Garden, and even a Woodland Walk, Brookside Gardens is a can’t miss destination for all! While admission to the gardens is free, tickets to The Wings of Fancy Exhibit can be purchased in person at the Visitors Center or at the Conservatory gift shops. Visitors are advised to call ahead or visit the exhibit online in the event the exhibit needs to be closed due to heat.
