On October 31, 2026, families are invited to collect candy around the historic grounds and celebrate Halloween with 18th-century entertainment and activities. Capture photos of your children in a costume parade through the historic area, listen to music of the Revolution, see colonial demonstrations, and more.

After trick-or-treating, enjoy a meal at the historic Mount Vernon Inn Restaurant with your family. Kids ages 12 and under can dine for free from the kids’ menu from 5 pm to 8 pm. (Receive one free kid’s meal for every adult entree purchased. Dine-in service only; not available online.)
