Bring your special guests to a Holiday Tea inspired by all things HIPPO on December 21, 2025!

The Barter Theatre, a professional touring theater company, is bringing a magical musical adventure to the Franklin Park Arts Center stage. It’s Christmas time at the Ypsilanti Zoo, and everyone there eagerly anticipates the birth of Bella, the zoo’s first baby hippo. Seven-year-old Lois Jean, the zookeeper’s daughter, is especially excited!

There are two seatings — one before the show (beginning at 1:30 pm), and one after the show (beginning at 4 pm). Pre-registration required; fee includes tea, finger foods, craft, and ticket to show.

• First Seating: 1:30 pm tea, then show at 3 pm (doors open at 2:30 pm)
• Second Seating: 3 pm show, then tea afterwards until 5:15 pm
