Celebrate the beauty and importance of family diversity with the Smithsonian’s National Zoo & Conservation Biology Institute.

On May 5, 2024, International Family Equality Day activities will take place throughout the Zoo, including animal demonstrations and rainbow-themed enrichment. Visitors will also have the chance to make arts and crafts, enjoy music performances, and play lawn games. Plus, meet representatives from SMYAL, the DC Center, Rainbow Families, Brave Trails, and the Smithsonian Pride Alliance at the event.

While all programming is free, all guests must reserve passes for entry (link below).
