Summer nights just got a whole lot better! The Library of Congress is bringing back its beloved Movies on the Lawn series, with free screenings on Capitol Hill!
This year’s lineup celebrates America’s 250th anniversary and features five beloved films from the National Film Registry — each one a certified cultural classic:

No tickets are required for the lawn screenings, but arriving early is recommended as space is limited.
On Thursdays from 5-8 pm, visitors can also enjoy the Library’s Live! At the Library experience in the Great Hall — featuring happy hour drinks and snacks available for purchase, plus access to exhibitions and collections. Free timed-entry passes are required for building entry and can be reserved online.
