Rolling Thunder First Amendment Demonstration Run

May 23, 2026 @ 9:30 am-6:00 pm

On May 23-25, 2026, hear the thunder of thousands of motorcycles as riders from across the country — and around the world — take to the streets of our Nation’s Capital for Rolling Thunder First Amendment Demonstration Run!

This powerful annual demonstration honors POW/MIA service members and raises awareness of veteran suicide — a moving and unforgettable sight for anyone who witnesses it. Riders rally at the Pentagon parking lot before making their way through the Mall area of Washington, DC, in one of the most emotionally resonant displays of patriotism you’ll ever see.

This year’s event carries extra meaning as it coincides with the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.

Spectators are also invited to visit Thunder Alley — the official vending and exhibition site for Memorial Day Weekend, located across from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall at 22nd St. NW & Constitution Ave. NW. Running all three days of Memorial Day Weekend (May 23-25), it’s a great place to soak in the atmosphere, browse vendors, and pay respects at the memorials.
