Families are invited to Fairfax County Park Authority’s sensory-friendly swim opportunities this summer at Our Special Harbor!

Sensory-friendly time is designed to allow individuals with special considerations and disabilities the opportunity to cool off with a fun water playdate in an enjoyable and accessible way. Opportunities include:

The Water Mine
Enjoy a sensory hour on June 20, 2023, and August 8, 2023, 10-11 am. Fee-based admission.

At the center of this old-western-themed park, surrounded by tubing, is Pete’s Craggy Mountain, boasting twin water slides. There are plenty of water creatures in the open swim area to climb on, and Tenderfoot Pond is perfect for the smallest explorers with its pint-sized slides and gentle fountains.
