Lace up for one of Loudoun County’s most unique race experiences — Run the Greenway!
This special opportunity returns on May 3, 2026, bringing a family-friendly, superhero-themed morning to Loudoun Station. Runners and walkers of all levels are invited to take on a 5K, 10K, or kids’ fun run, all while supporting 17 local nonprofits and 21 Loudoun County Public Schools.
It’s the only time the community can legally run the Dulles Greenway, making it a can’t-miss opportunity to see this stretch of road in a whole new way!
Designed for everyone from first-time participants to seasoned runners, Run the Greenway features a flat, fast course and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps the focus on fun, community, and giving back. Kids can join the excitement with a dedicated fun run — with little ones under 5 and a parent running alongside them for free — while those who can’t attend in person can still take part virtually and earn a commemorative race shirt.
With 100% of donations going directly to local charities and hundreds of thousands already raised in past years, every step supports meaningful work across the community. From the starting line to the finish, it’s a morning filled with a shared mission to do good!
