The Big Build

This event has passed, but check out our calendar for fun today, this week, this month!

There’s some big family fun happening over at the National Building Museum this month! On October 14, 2017, children and their families are invited to the Museum for their annual Big Build event!

Little kids and kids at heart will have a chance to experience what it’s like to be a builder! Children will have the opportunity to create masterpieces, construct LEGO skyscrapers, and experiment with woodworking tools. Plus, they’ll spend time with plumbers, ironworkers, woodworkers, and other experts to get the inside scoop on their professions and hobbies!

This year, visitors can:

SPLIT wood
DISCOVER the inner workings of elevators
CREATE a whimsical windchime for your home
EXPLORE home remodeling
LEARN how drones are used in the construction industry
EXPERIENCE new design technologies
VISIT Museum exhibitions like PLAY WORK BUILD and District of Culture

This event, open to all ages, is free to attend. The building fun all happens at the National Building Museum, located at 401 F St. NW, Washington, DC 20001.
