For a caterpillar, leaves are lunch, and in Walker Nature Center’s Crunching, Munching, Caterpillars program, littles 18-35 months will learn all about how caterpillars find food.

In this program, offered on July 6 & 7, 2026, little ones will investigate the little larva before they become a butterfly or moth. They’ll meet a live caterpillar, crawl on a giant leaf to imagine life as a caterpillar, make a crazy caterpillar craft, and even go on a hike to look for leaf lunches and caterpillars before munching on your own snack.
