Storytime at THE PLAYGROUND is free and packed full of reading, songs, and activities designed to promote language and literacy skills for kids ages 6 and under! Story themes and activities vary weekly, related to THE PLAYGROUND, the National Building Museum’s summer installation.

Join in for storytime on Thursdays and Fridays, July 9-August 28, 2026, from 9:15-10 am.

Storytime participants must enter the Museum through the F Street doors and meet at THE PLAYGROUND entrance in the Great Hall. Additional restrictions apply; see them here.
