In the hottest part of the summer, join Walker Nature Center on August 10 & 11, 2026, to learn about our cooling creeks.

Little explorers ages 18-35 months will investigate who uses the creek for water, such as mammals like raccoons and deer, local birds of all kinds, as well as the hidden critters that call the creek home. Plus, children will make a creek critter to float in the nearby creek, then sip and savor a tasty snack.
