Casting Candy LEGOS
In this Junior Makers workshop, kids and their adult chaperones will create a mouthwatering chocolate bar! Teams will learn how to use a thermoforming machine to make molds using LEGOs and pour in molten chocolate — just like a genuine candy factory! For a one-of-a-kind candy bar, teams will also design unique candy bar wrappers!

Puzzle Picture & Frame
In this Junior Makers workshop, kids will use a laser cutter and a UV printer to craft their very own puzzle picture and frame. They’ll be challenged to print their favorite picture onto an acrylic sheet using a UV printer, transforming it into a stunning masterpiece. But that’s not all — with the power of the laser cutter, kids will turn that picture into puzzle pieces! It’s like magic, combining technologies into beautiful art.

3D Print-a-Monster
In this Junior Makers workshop, kids will take their maker skills to the next level with this fabrication project. They’ll use sculpting clay to create a prototype of a dream monster friend and learn how to turn it into a plastic figurine using a 3D scanner and by learning the basics of digital 3D modeling using TinkerCAD.

T-Shirt & Jewelry
In this Junior Makers workshop, kids will design a graphic t-shirt and jewelry pieces using a large format graphic printer, heat press, laser cutter, and UV printer)!

What is Junior Makers? NOVA’s Junior Makers program creates a fun, social environment for our area’s youngest makers to be introduced to fabrication and build confidence in their STEM and problem-solving skills!
