Nestled in Alexandria, VA, you’ll find the Winkler Botanical Preserve — 44 acres of lush greenery and landscapes filled with native plants! This public park features walking trails and plenty of water features, including a lily pad-strewn pond, streams, and even a manmade waterfall.
Many online references refer to the park as being private. However, in 2022 it was gifted to NOVA Parks by a local family, the Winklers. In 1979, they created this urban oasis to protect this unique and special area during the development of Mark Center.
