Big Holiday Guide › Lights on the Bay
The beach at Sandy Point State Park is a summer must. But how about a winter visit? From November 23-January 1, 2026, see this unique destination in a whole new light!
You’re invited to Lights on the Bay — a scenic two-mile illuminated drive along the shore of the Chesapeake Bay. See more than 70 animated and stationary displays illuminating the roadway!
There are plenty of chances to make your visit even more immersive. Some displays are 3D-enabled (3D glasses can be purchased at the park), and you can tune your radio to 97.1 FM for holiday music. Plus, enjoy a nightly kids’ scavenger hunt!
Even better? Proceeds from this special holiday light show support the SPCA of Anne Arundel County. This local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is the largest and oldest animal welfare organization in Anne Arundel County.
