Children will paint, cut, and collage their way from the Harlem Renaissance to the present day. On February 16, 2026, in this class, children will create artwork inspired by some amazing Black American artists. Plus, they’ll even create their very own self-portrait in the style of famed contemporary portraitist Amy Sherald.

Kidcreate Studio is Alexandria is celebrating black artists with this creative arts class for young artists ages 6-12.
