View the moon and other night sky objects during International Observe the Moon Night. This sky-gazing event, on October 4, 2025, will take place outside in the bus parking lot at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA.

Join museum staff and members of the Northern Virginia Astronomy Club for a look at the night sky through telescopes. Experienced people will help you to observe the moon, as well as other objects, such as planets and stars.

NOTE: Telescopes will be provided by the Smithsonian and pre-approved members of the Northern Virginia Astronomy Club. No other personal telescopes are permitted at the event.
