Celebrate fresh beginnings at the National Building Museum. School’s Out: Lunar New Year, on February 16, 2026, offers kids a fun, hands-on way to explore architecture and design.

Explore the stories, traditions, and creative expressions behind this holiday celebrated around the world. After a story about the Lunar New Year, participants will take a kid-friendly gallery tour highlighting countries and cultures that celebrate the holiday before returning to the classroom for a related craft.

This program is geared towards ages 6-10, but all are welcome. Program tickets are $20 per participating child and $10 per adult, which includes admission to the Museum’s exhibitions.
