Pitch & Product: Persuasive Pitching, Entrepreneurship, & Showcase
In this capstone week, students become young innovators as they create an original idea — from a toy or game to a tool or book — and learn how to pitch it with clarity and confidence. They explore persuasive pitching, craft strong elevator pitches, practice thinking on their feet, and build skills answering questions from a live panel. Designed for rising 5th-8th graders across NOVA and the DMV, this dynamic Reston-based program helps students build confidence and strengthen real-world communication skills. Terrific TED Talkers: Intro to TED-Style Talks
Terrific Ted Talkers is a dynamic half-day camp where students build confidence while learning the art of TEDx-style speaking. Participants analyze engaging talks, explore meaningful topics, strengthen performance fundamentals, and practice through interactive speaking challenges. Each student learns how to structure and deliver a compelling speech centered on an idea they truly believe in, receiving supportive feedback along the way.
