This crazy-popular family event is back on October 25, 2025!
Hosted at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum’s sister location, the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA, see their spooky side at their Halloween Air & Scare! This special event will take place both inside and outside:
Tickets: Outdoor Portion
Free tickets will be required to attend the outdoor portion of Air & Scare. Tickets will be available on October 1, 2025, at 7 pm (NAS Society members will have advance access to tickets on Sept 30, 2025).
Tickets: Indoor Portion
The indoor portion of the event is not ticketed and will feature Air & Scare activities for all ages.
Parking
Parking is fee-based.
Come in costume, make spooky discoveries, and experience science-inspired fun. Your Air & Scare indoor/outdoor adventure includes:
- Free candy and snacks at trick-or-treat stations
- Creepy crafts, spooky experiments, and more themed activities
- Special storytimes and puppet shows
- Photo opportunities with your favorite Star Wars characters
- New! Air & Scare Runway costume fashion show
Air & Scare will take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, some outside activities may be curtailed, but many will scream on.
