Big Holiday Guide › White House Christmas Tree
The White House will twinkle a little brighter this holiday season with a unique addition to President’s Park! There, you’ll find the National Christmas Tree decked out with thousands of lights!
The tree will be lit nightly from December 4-January 1, 2026, beginning at dusk. On select nights, local and national music groups will provide holiday entertainment for a unique experience!
This year’s National Christmas Tree, a 35-foot red spruce, debuts from the George Washington and Jefferson National Forest — specifically selected from high-elevation mountains in Highland County, VA. Steeped in history and tradition, 58 smaller trees will surround it, each decorated with one-of-a-kind ornaments representing a US state or territory and the District of Columbia.
