Wolf Trap is spreading a little holiday magic on December 5, 2026! Families across Northern Virginia kick off the season at their free Holiday Sing-a-Long!
The President’s Own United States Marine Band takes the stage alongside local choirs and vocal groups from across the DC metro area. Together, they lead the crowd in Christmas carols, Hanukkah songs, and more.
Don’t forget your bells — guests are encouraged to bring some from home to Jing-a-Long to Jingle Bells! Plus, add those battery-operated or LED candles to your bag, too. The celebration ends with a candlelight procession out of the Filene Center during the final verse of Silent Night.
This family-friendly tradition dates back to 1968, when Wolf Trap founder Catherine Filene Shouse invited local choirs to her farmhouse to sing carols together. Since the Filene Center is an outdoor venue, warm layers, scarves, and blankets are a smart idea, and festive hats and holiday sweaters fit right in!
In support of Toys for Tots, drop off new, unwrapped toys at the Filene Center entrance. Donations are voluntary and not required for admission. This event is free to attend with online registration; seating is general admission.
