Whether your Christmas Day traditions involve Chinese food, holiday movies, or service projects, CJM has it all and more. Enjoy classic traditions and make new ones with drop-in activities and projects for visitors looking to learn, play, and give back.

This Christmas, December 25, 2025, enjoy Chinese food from POW POW, an award-winning kosher and plant-based Asian eatery, and a showing of the movie An American Tail (1986).

Additional event activities include:

• Explore the ongoing exhibitions through the lens of a holiday themed exhibition guide
• Record a family story and add it to the Museum’s Oral History Archive
• Write holiday cards to be sent to the senior residents of Charles E. Smith Life Communities
• Bring canned food donations and assemble laundry kits for DC neighbors in need
• Curl up with a good book in a reading nook and participate in the leave-a-book, take-a-book swap
• Enjoy the nostalgia of classic films in the Community Action Lab
• Snap and print a photograph at our photo booth and decorate a custom frame to preserve the memory
