Classroom photos, teacher reminders, and school news, all in one app? Yes, please! The Loudoun County Public Schools app is the easiest way to stay connected to what’s happening in your child’s classroom, and it all starts with one quick download.
The star of the show is Rooms, LCPS’s secure communication platform built right into the app.
Rooms brings classroom activities, photos, reminders, and school announcements into one place, and you can message teachers directly. You’ll see updates from your child’s classes, teams, and activities, too, and you can send and receive messages in your preferred language. No more juggling a different app for every class.
Getting started is simple:
- Download the LCPS app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Turn on notifications so you never miss an update.
- Tap “Rooms” to sign in.
- The first time you sign in, verify your email address or phone number and finish setting up your account.
Need a hand? The Quick Start Guide for Families walks you through setup. Beyond Rooms, the app keeps you up to date on school and district news, upcoming events, and important documents and resources.
One more to know: LCPS launched a new ParentVUE mobile app where you can check grades, assignments, attendance, and class and bus schedules for all of your kids with a single login. If you’ve been using the old ParentVUE app, you’ll be prompted to download the new one, and LCPS’s instructions cover switching over and first-time setup.
Got a middle or high schooler who checks grades on their own phone? StudentVUE has a new app as well, so they’ll need to download the update. The app is optional, though. Students can still use StudentVUE on their school-issued Chromebooks.
A few minutes of setup now means fewer missed messages later, so grab your phone and get connected. Still have questions? Contact your child’s school.
