Celebrate the start of the planting season with Area 2 Farms! The annual Spring Seedling Sale is officially open, and they’re throwing a Garden Party to help you kick off your best growing season yet.

Join in on April 18, 2026, for a day of hands-on fun and expert advice:

• Shop a wide selection of additional seedlings and organic, composted soil
• Get 1-on-1 gardening advice and tips from your neighborhood farmers
• Learn the best techniques for prepping your beds for a successful harvest
• Build your own custom herb window box or let the kids get artistic at the pot-decorating station
• Enjoy food and drinks from visiting food trucks

This event is open to everyone, whether you’re picking up your pre-ordered seedlings, browsing garden starts, or just looking for a fun way to connect with other gardeners and local food lovers!

This event will take place at the site of where the new farm will be built. The community is invited to learn more about the farm before it opens. Free tours of the farm are offered for schools, homeschool groups, and scout troops. Area 2 Farms looks forward to bringing fresh, organic food closer to families across Fairfax County.
