This free, all-day festival at the National Building Museum (NBM) invites families to explore the magic of drawing as a tool for communication, creativity, and design.

Featuring the Caldecott Medal-winning author and illustrator David Macaulay, The Big Draw is filled with hands-on workshops, live demonstrations, and interactive activities sure to spark imaginations.

Join Macaulay as he leads live drawing demonstrations or Illustrator Trap Bob for a Coloring Book Workshop. Enjoy interactive experiences, like making chalk art and sketching the NBM.
