Stamp Out Waste! Event @ National Postal Museum

Celebrate Earth Month at the Smithsonian’s National Postal Museum with a day of hands-on creativity and planet-friendly fun. On April 11, 2026, explore how mail and the postal service connect communities while discovering ways to reduce waste, reuse materials, and care for the Earth.

• Collaborate on large-scale, nature-inspired murals using shared art materials for a shared message.
• Write a postcard that promotes sustainability and environmental action.
• Conservation tours (11:30 am & 1:30 pm)
• Storytime with the DC Public Library (12 pm & 2 pm; ASL interpretation will be provided during both storytime sessions.)
• Activities with educators from Smithsonian Gardens, the National Museum of Natural History, and the National Zoo & Conservation Biology Institute.

Drop in between 11 am and 3 pm. No registration required; free and open to all ages.
