Halloween spending is expected to hit $13.5 billion in 2026 — about $115 per person — with $4.4 billion of that going toward costumes, according to the National Retail Federation (NRF). Parents alone are expected to spend $1.5 billion dressing up the kids.
Spider-Man tops the NRF’s kids’ costume list again, with 4.6 million children planning to dress as the web-slinger. That’s double the 2.3 million choosing a generic superhero, now No. 2.
